Do you have extensive knowledge of sailing yachts and a background in yachtbuilding, refit or service?
SYR are working with an international yachtbuilder to appoint their Aftersales & Service Manager, who will be based in Palma de Mallorca, central to much of their global fleet. Designing, building and manufacturing their composite sailing yachts in Northern Europe, the brand has a great reputation for contemporary styling, strong performance and great tech in their yachts.
With the global fleet growing however, there is a strong need to develop their aftersales and support network which will act to support post-delivery but also facilitate ongoing upgrades and changes that owners may request, with this being based somewhere easily accessible from their main cruising grounds. As Aftersales & Service Manager you will lead a small team of technicians across the following duties:
– Acting as the main point of contact for owners and crews post delivery
– Servicing any ongoing warranty requirements
– Booking and managing planned maintenance as required
– Supporting owners and crews with upgrades and custom changes to their yachts, offering advice and quotations accordingly
– Upselling a range of services and products to ensure that the aftersales unit remains profitable and continues to grow
The ideal candidate for this role will either be based in Mallorca already or have a strong series of connections in the locality. You will possess a strong knowledge of performance composite yachts through either time as a Captain/Skipper or through a role within a shipyard and understand the needs, requirements and potential issues that owners may experience with a new yacht.
You’ll be a confident leader, able to manage a small team and also able to look at your role from a commercial perspective, identifying opportunities for commercial growth and development of the business unit into a profitable entity
