Are you a Design Engineer with a passion for luxury yachting and with a background working with small composite craft?
SYR are supporting a fantastic dutch boatbuilder who are seeking a Design Engineer to join them and support across a wide range of projects. With each build either semi or fully custom and built with external concept design partners, the role will be hugely diverse, challenging and exciting!
The Design Engineer role will include the following duties:
– Collaboration with external design partners and naval architects, receiving drawings and documents for internal development
– Working on engineering and development of composite parts, mechanical, systems and electrical items
– Working with the shop floor on rolling design changes, maximising performance in a number of key delivery areas
– Meeting drawing release timescales
In terms of the ideal character for this role we’re seeking someone with 3+ years or more experience in small craft design engineering. You will be part of a small team of mixed nationalities however English is the chosen language in the office so fluency is key. You’ll be a confident engineer, organised and ambitious and with the ability to deal with stakeholders at all levels. A degree in yacht design, naval architecture or equivalent is also essential along with strong experience in Solidworks
You’ll be joining a business that plans to grow by around 40% in terms of staff this year to cope with a long project forward order book and be well rewarded for your hard work through an excellent earnings package.
Salary for the role will be €2,500-4,000/month plus benefits.
