Facilities Manager is an onboard role with one of the industry’s biggest vendors of luxury charter experiences.

The main focus of the role is overseeing the management of the vessel’s interior and exterior guest spaces ensuring all upkeep, repairs and quality details of all guests’ orientated facilities are fulfilled. This role is neither a traditional facilities managerial role or an engineering role, however you will be reporting directly to the Ships Service Engineer and will also be required to liaise with all department heads on-board the yacht. The role will be based within a hand on, pragmatic team made up of Carpenters, Upholsters, Engineers, Able Seafarers and external contractors. Working as a vital team member, this candidate must ensure that guests’ impressions and desires remain consistently in line with the company’s gold standards.

Ideal Experience:

• Previous experience within a luxury managerial role, either within the hotel, commercial or design sector with knowledge of high-end finishes and details.
• Three years’ experience serving either onboard or in a luxury hotel environment, in a guest facing position.
• Onboard experience within a cruise ship/superyacht background would be advantageous.
• Proven record as a successful manager with a high degree of knowledge in all aspects of facilities maintenance, including safety/risk management, compliance, asset management, and fiscal responsibility.
• The ability to understand and assess the impact of standards and defects on the guests’ experience

The position could also suit a Bosun or Interior Manager with experience in the 80-100m range.
