SYR Shoreside Superyacht Recruitment are working with a leading innovator in the marine sector who are looking to recruit a number of HV Electrical Technicians to join their team.
As a engineering consultancy, this employer are working on a host of exciting and challenging systems ranging from foils to hybrid drives and a whole lot more. Each project requires intricate engineering and electrical works hence the need for experienced professionals to join the hands-on manufacturing and prototyping team
Reporting into the electrical lead, the role will come with the following duties:
– Supporting the design and engineering teams across the specification of electrical and control systems
– Working to build mock-ups and prototypes of systems
– Aiding in the integration of control systems
– Carrying out testing and trials of new systems, offering feedback on performance, usability and more
– Joining in with client meetings and on sea trails as and where required.
This will be a highly rewarding opportunity that will see you working at the forefront of electrical engineering and supporting a wide range of household industry names as they push the boundraries of innovation. As part of a small team, excellent team skills and an eye for detail are essential.
To be considered for this role you will need to be highly educated as an electrical engineer or similar and be used to working with high-voltage systems for use in high-pressure environments such as motorsport, marine or aerospace. You’ll be confident in both your theoretical and practical skills and have had exposure to the build and testing of prototype systems.
The role will be based in a state of the art facility in Portsmouth however there will be a rare requirement for international travel
