We’re seeking the next Manager of Projects & Engineering for a fantastic Dutch yachtbuilder based a short drive from the capital city!

A relatively young business that has grown organically to a team of around 50, the yard has achieved a number of fantastic launches thus far in the 9-20m sector. With a strong forward order book, they are now growing once more to cope with increased demand from the market for their exemplerary work. 

The role of Manager Projects and Engineering will be the most senior of the technical team, working with a wide variety of stakeholders both internally and externally to ensure that timelines are met and the design and build process can be further improved. Duties will include:

– Liaison with external design partners and naval architects to receive designs and to make high level engineering changes

– General oversight of the engineering team, assigning projects internally and building a projects strategy for optimum performance 

– Leadership of the project management team, ensuring that they are expertly leading their assigned builds, meeting quality, cost and deliver requirements

– Examining and improving the end to end communication process to reduce build times and open up further build availability

– High level client interaction

The right individual for this role will ideally have gained experience in both the design office and on the shop floor within a custom boatbuilder and be keen to build on an impressive career with a brand that has a clear growth trajectory. You will be used to working with external partners on a variety of projects and be confident in bringing together a number of departments to build excellence. Excellent people skills will also be a must!

Whilst this role will be based in the Netherlands, it is important that any applicants speak fluent English
