Naval Architect

We’re looking for a Junior Naval Architect to join a leading studio involved in the superyacht industry. Could you be our next candidate?

Located close to the UKs south coast amongst some of the biggest names in yacht design and engineering, this established brand have put their name to a wide range of exciting projects and concepts and with a build selection of upcoming projects the team needs to expand to cope with demand.

Reporting into the department head and senior colleagues the role will see you work on true hull design and naval architecture projects and have a chance to carve yourself an exciting career.

Duties will include:

• Hull Line development
• Stability Calculations
• Weight estimations/control assessments
• Supporting class and flag compliance
• Development of GAs and technical drawings

 

In a junior we seek someone with 2-3 years of experience, specifically in projects in the superyacht world. You’ll be well versed in current styles and trends, current codes and regulations and be able to work with a host of digital tools including Rhino, Auotcad and Maxsurf.
