Are you a Naval Architect/Design Engineer looking to make the next step in your career to join a brand with an order book full to bursting?
SYR are working with a Hampshire employer who focus heavily of the design, naval architecture and engineering of composite craft from 5-50m. Launched in 2018, the studio has experienced incredible growth, now employing a mixed-discipline team and working across a broad range of projects from small tenders to large superyachts. Due to current workloads and continued strong enquiries they now seek a Naval Architect/Design Engineer with 3-5 years of career experience to join them, Duties will include:
– Basic naval architecture including weight studies, scantling and compliance.
– Systems architecture, selection and placement.
– Engineering of a host of mechanical, hydraulic and composite parts.
– 3D Modelling & 2D Drafting.
– On some projects, project management may also be required.
Our ideal candidate will be degree qualified with their experience gained within the design and engineering of small to medium sized composite craft. You’ll be a confident Engineer, capable of working autonomously or as part of a very ambitious team and have a solid grasp of a range of CAD tools (Solidworks or Rhino preferred). You’ll be used to working to tight deadlines and meeting the expectations of both colleagues and clients.
