SYR is seeking an accomplished yacht-building professional to join a leading boatbuilder in Scandinavia in a role that will oversee quality, compliance, sea trials and warranty.
With a rich history in the build of luxury craft, this brand produces a range of contemporary and exciting craft that are sold globally.
Employing an international team and manufacturing across three European locations, the company has continued to grow and remains one with a reputation for quality products in a hotly contested market.
Due to the impending retirement of a very long-term member of their team, there is now a requirement to appoint an individual in the role of Quality and Compliance Manager to take over this key role within the organisation.
A varied role, this post will include, but not be limited to, the following duties:
– Quality control and benchmarking across three manufacturing locations
– Liaison with various regulation and certification requirements such as RCD, CE and more to ensure full compliance across the entire range
– Sea Trialling
– PDIs and preparation for shipping and export
– Warranty support
In terms of our ideal candidate, we seek an individual with a passion for the yachting sector and ideally experience in either a yacht design or manufacturing setting.
You’ll need to possess a keen eye for detail, and understanding of regulations and most importantly be a confident boat handler of vessels up to 60ft. Given that this company sea trial every boat they build before it departs, this is a crucial requirement.
Looking to personal skills, the ideal individual will be an approachable character with the ability to network and build relationships internally and externally.
Technically savvy, you will be able to understand and evolve processes and procedures but also confident working with owners and captains once craft has left the yard.
With the offices located in a picturesque location, you will be offered an excellent package that will include relocation (if required) and continued career growth and development potential plus a chance to travel globally.
This is a permanent position based in Europe so applicants must be able to live/work in the EU.
