In this role, you will be a key contributor, providing expert hands on design and technical oversight. You’ll be responsible for engineering design calculations and ensuring that your projects comply with evolving regulatory standards. You’ll manage your workload across multiple projects, prioritizing tasks and proactively addressing any conflicting deadlines.
Quality and collaboration are paramount. You will serve as the lead engineer for liaison between your team and clients, shipyards, subcontractors, and suppliers. Using your extensive experience, you will coordinate with colleagues across all disciplines, while also taking an active role in leading and mentoring a team of engineers.

Key Responsibilities
- Engineering Design Calculations: Perform and manage engineering design calculations for specific projects.
- Design and Engineering of Complex Components and Systems: powertrain, propulsion, energy architecture, machinery selection,
system diagrams andtechnical space layouts in the context of whole vessel design. - Compliance: Ensure all projects meet the standards set by classification societies and/or national authorities.
- Quality Assurance: Actively manage the quality of project work, ensuring appropriate detail, adequate checking, and timely completion.
- Liaison: Communicate with customers, shipyards, subcontractors, suppliers, and classification societies to ensure all information is available and queries are answered promptly.
- Workload Management: Efficiently manage your own workload and that of your assigned project teams, across multiple projects, following priorities and proposing solutions for scheduling conflicts.
- Risk Management: Review project work to identify and address potential technical risks.
Your professional experience will enable you to take on a holistic oversight for projects, understanding the work flow and design process from each department to provide a strong technical project lead in the mechanical team.
