Ed is running a half marathon for UKSA!
- Posted September 16, 2023
It’s only a few short weeks until Ed, our CEO, takes on the Royal Parks Half Marathon to raise funds for UKSA and we’d love for you to support us in our fundraising efforts.
UKSA, based on the Isle of Wight, are a well known training centre, not only for superyacht crew and captains, but also for young people and those from less fortunate backgrounds than ourselves.
With their main aim being to introduce the water, and indeed maritime careers, to as many as possible, UKSA work with schools, education facilities and more to teach the joys of spending time at sea – inspiring our future bosuns, officers, stewardesses and captains to undergo training and become professional mariners.
Throughout their work they seek to provide either free training and courses for young people or to subsidise advance training courses for those less fortunate. This is only possible through the kindness of their donors, be they large or small.
Furthermore, UKSA are working with a number of maritime organisations when it comes to crew welfare, bringing together industry leaders to support seafarers in what can sometimes be a very challenging and lonely workplace.
Ed will be taking on this challenge as something very much out of his comfort zone and would appreciate your donation, however large or small, to help him towards his target. Please give generously via the link below.
Many thanks, in advance, for your support!
