Superyacht recruitment brand SYR expand with the hiring of two new consultants

Following their launch in February of this year, superyacht recruitment brand SYR have been on a fast track to success as a result of winning a number of key recruitment partnerships and are pleased to announce the appointment of two new consultants to their recruitment team, Lewis Balfour and Mimi Majendie.

Ed Ewer, Founder and Managing Director of SYR – ‘We’ve been overwhelmed by the industry response since our launch, clearly defining the need for a shore based specialist recruiter. Using a genuine approach and basing what we do on knowledge over all else, we are forging long term partnerships with our client base, allowing us to grow based on the commitment of our customers for 12 months or more. Lewis and Mimi bring a great mixture of skills to the company and we’re looking forward to building a great team for the future’

Balfour comes from a background in skilled trades and crew recruitment and will be working as a technical recruiter, developing relationships with shipyards and OEMs and working across roles from the shop floor through to senior management

Majendie has 5 years experience as superyacht crew and a further 18 months working in crew and shore based superyacht recruitment and will be working with the brokerage market plus sales and marketing recruitment in the superyacht industry supply chain.
