Founder/Managing Director

Ed is for want of a better term, a ‘Boat Geek’. With a love of the water since he could walk, he has always been on or near boats in some capacity, from racing dinghies to delivering super yachts.
His love of boating led to a technical interest in how boats are designed and built that when put into a recruitment setting, led to more than 6 years of success in global maritime recruitment.

During his recruitment career Ed has built a diverse network of industry specialists and professionals and continues to evolve as an integral member of the industry in terms of career advice and high standards of recruitment

He founded SYR to focus exclusively on the innovative, high performance and high value marine sectors and to ensure the most indepth standard of service possible.

Technical Recruitment Consultant

Lewis has joined SYR as a Technical Recruitment Consultant and joins us following over 2 years recruiting across both maritime crew and skilled trades.

Since leaving university he has developed a strong interest in marine world across cruise, commercial and superyacht and loves delving headfirst into growing his industry knowledge wherever possible.

Lewis is easy-going and always keen to get to know new people, developing long term relationships with his clients and candidates alike.

In his spare time Lewis is passionate about music, having worked as a promoter in the Southampton area with a number of well known artists

Recruitment Consultant - Brokerage, Sales & Marketing

Mimi joins us as a consultant to work very closely with the Brokerage & Charter sector, as well as Sales & Marketing positions within the superyacht supply chain.

Mimi is based in Brighton and has always had a passion for the sea. Travelling a lot growing up, she knew her career would take her around the world and so spent 5 years in a variety of stewardess roles onboard yachts up to 65m before returning to the UK to commence her shoreside career.

For the past year and a half she has been working in recruitment for both crew and shoreside roles and is looking forward to working within the busy world of sales recruitment

Operations Manager

We’ve welcomed Dave Osborne to the team as our Operations Manager. Dave has a fantastic history in senior operations roles within media and publishing, including over 10 years as Operations Director at Yachting Pages.

In his role Dave will be working closely with Ed to develop and streamline our internal processes, drive team training and development and identify key partnership and sponsorship opportunities, alongside a host of other duties.

Alongside his role with SYR, Dave is a passionate football fan and dedicates his spare time to an operations role at Stoneham AFC
