Business Development Consultant

Are you an accomplished networker with a strong network across the world of shipyards and Captains, able to sell a product or service into the new build or refit world?

We’re supporting a highly successful family owned business as they look to move into a new era of expansion. With the owners having built an excellent business, they find themselves at a point where their strengths lie mainly in operations and delivery, hence a requirement for a BD consultant to join them and leverage their exceptional network to drive sales. 

Given the international nature of the business and their customers, geographical location is not fixed, though a UK or EU location would be advantageous. You will be looking to leverage your network to pitch and quote for business in a highly competitive area of yacht new build and refit where our customer is considered a top player, building further brand awareness and helping to win more contracts in this challenging space. 

You’ll be expected to travel regularly to meet with yards, Captains and owners reps to encourage an opportunity to quote for new business, along with attending various networking events and shows throughout a busy season in order to keep the brand at the forefront of the industry’s minds. 

In turn there is a huge opportunity for the right person. The business owners are willing to examine and offer an attractive opportunity either as a full commission based package or with a part salary/part commission option. Either way, their intention is to employ someone on an exclusive basis.
