Role Overview

The Charter Manager plays a key role in delivering exceptional charter experiences for clients and partners. This position is responsible for managing the end-to-end charter process—from enquiry to post-charter follow-up—ensuring flawless execution, strong client relationships, and high operational standards. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, commercially astute, and passionate about the superyacht industry.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Client & Charter Management

  • Handle charter enquiries, prepare bespoke proposals, and curate itinerary recommendations.
  • Manage the full charter lifecycle, including contract negotiation, APA management, and logistical coordination.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for clients before, during, and after their charter.
  • Build long-term, trust-driven relationships with UHNW and HNW clients.

 

Broker & Industry Coordination

  • Liaise with yacht owners, captains, central agents, and industry partners to confirm availability, negotiate rates, and secure charter agreements.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of global charter fleets, destinations, and seasonal trends.
  • Attend key industry events (e.g., MYBA, Monaco Yacht Show) to represent the company

 

Sales & Business Growth

  • Maximise charter conversion through timely follow-up and exceptional service delivery.
  • Contribute to revenue targets through strategic cross-selling and upselling of yachts, destinations, and services.
  • Support marketing initiatives by identifying promotional opportunities and providing expert content when needed.

 

Operations & Administration

  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation, including MYBA contracts, invoices, and compliance requirements.
  • Maintain and update CRM records, pricing databases, and charter calendars.
  • Provide periodic reporting on charter activity, client feedback, and market insights.

 

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in the superyacht charter industry (brokerage, management, or operations).
  • Strong understanding of MYBA contracts, industry regulations, and charter processes.
  • Exceptional client-facing communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with UHNW clients.
  • High level of organisation, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple charters simultaneously.
  • Commercial mindset with strong negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to travel internationally when needed.

 

Preferred Attributes

  • Additional languages (French, Italian, Spanish, Russian, or Arabic preferred).
  • Strong destination knowledge across the Mediterranean, Caribbean, Indian Ocean, and emerging regions.
  • A passion for luxury travel, hospitality, and the maritime world.

The Offer

  • Base salary 50,000 + commission (OTE Year 1 circa 80,000)
