Commercial Manager

Do you have a solid knowledge in the large yacht space and a commercial eye for building and growing business?

SYR are working with a long established and well known maritime business based in Palma de Mallorca who undertake a wide range of yacht refit projects. Known across the industry, the brand has been developing and evolving and now seek to add to their commercial team, tasked with growing projects and increasing revenues. 

A wide reaching role reporting into the Commercial Director, the role will come with the following duties:

– Working with the director on defining and executing the commercial strategy for the business

– Identifying, developing and growing sales opportunities through existing and new businesses

– Maximising revenues and profits per project, up-selling to each vessel to ensure a strong return for the business

– Representing the business and growing brand awareness across the superyacht refit space, through attendance at events and seminars and through targeted cold and warm approaches

– Working with the marketing team to develop engaging and lead-generating collateral to further enhance brand awareness

– Generation of new leads as well as acting on passive leads incoming to the business. 

In a candidate we are seeking a strong networker who also possesses a great technical knowledge. A candidate who can really work an event and generate a host of new opportunties for quotations and ultimately sales. You will have spent a number of years in the industry either in a sales role or at sea as senior crew. Passionate for what you do, you’ll be able to grow and evolve every opportunity and be a solid ambassador for the organisation

Located in Palma or able to commute, you will be a mixture of office based and travelling to shows, events or clients in search of new business. 

In exchange you’ll receive an impressive basic salary with excellent commissions opportunity, allowing for a strong total earnings package.
