Are you electrically experienced and keen on a role that will come with extensive travel?

SYR are once again supporting a leading brand in maritime stabilisation systems as they look to appoint a Service Engineer. Building and installing a range of different products on craft from 15m-100m, the brand hold a strong market share and are continuing to grow. 

In the role of Field Service Engineer you will work to support both shipyards and operational yachts in installation, maintenance and repair of their stabiliser systems. Reporting into the Engineering Manager, your role will consist of the following:

– Initial technical support and troubleshooting by phone and email.

– Travelling to shipyard and/or yacht to carry out on site troubleshooting and repair.

– Logging and reporting on repair requirements, feeding back to the main manufacturing facilities.

– Ordering and installation of repair parts, or guidance to crews on the process.

– General product check-ups.

As an individual you will ideally have a background and experience in electricals or electronics and be capable of working with marine systems to troubleshoot and repair. Outgoing and confident, above all else you will need to be flexible with extensive travel across Europe and possess either a UK or EU passport with the ability to travel. 

You’ll be joining a small but talented team and be trained by the main manufacturing centre in advance of being sent out to the field. This is a brand that want to support and nurture their team.
