Role Overview

The Head of Retail Charter is a senior leadership role based in Monaco and responsible for driving the global retail charter business across the client’s international offices. This includes developing and implementing strategy, overseeing charter broker performance, growing key client relationships, and ensuring exceptional service delivery. The ideal candidate is a seasoned professional in the yachting industry with strong commercial acumen, leadership capabilities, and a passion for delivering luxury experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership

    • Define and implement the global strategy for the retail charter division.

    • Align the charter business with the company’s overall vision, goals, and market trends.

    • Lead the innovation and digital transformation of charter offerings and client engagement.

  • Team Management & Development

    • Lead and support the global team of charter brokers, setting performance targets and best practices.

    • Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture across offices.

    • Identify and support professional development opportunities to maintain a best-in-class team.

  • Client & Broker Relationships

    • Maintain and grow relationships with key charter clients, UHNWIs, and corporate partners.

    • Act as a senior point of contact for VIP clients and high-value charters.

    • Oversee client satisfaction across all charter activities.

  • Business Growth

    • Identify new opportunities and markets for charter growth.

    • Collaborate with marketing and digital teams to enhance the company’s charter presence and lead generation.

    • Develop and monitor KPIs to ensure growth and profitability.

  • Industry Engagement

    • Represent the client at key industry events, yacht shows, and conferences.

    • Maintain a deep understanding of charter trends, competitor activity, and client expectations.

Qualifications & Skills

  • 10+ years of experience in the luxury yacht industry, with a strong focus on charter over and above the 50m+ range

  • Proven leadership experience managing teams across multiple regions.

  • Deep network of industry contacts, particularly among HNW and UHNW clientele.

  • Commercially savvy, with experience in sales, marketing, and client development.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a client-first mindset.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, international environment with frequent travel.

  • Fluency in English required; additional languages (especially French, Italian, Spanish or German) are a plus.
