We are seeking a dedicated and experienced HSE Manager to join our shipyard clients’ team. In this role, you will lead and oversee all health, safety, and environmental initiatives within our organization. As a key leader, you will ensure compliance with industry standards, foster a culture of safety, and drive continuous improvement to meet and exceed operational efficiency while prioritizing people and the environment.
Responsibilities
– Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies and procedures in alignment with legal regulations, company objectives, and industry best practices.
– Monitor and ensure compliance with applicable quality and environmental standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001, or relevant frameworks).
– Provide on-site leadership and participate in inspections, assessments, and audits to ensure adherence to HSE protocols.
– Identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and promote a proactive and preventive approach to health and safety.
– Investigate incidents, near-misses, and non-conformities, and ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented effectively.
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive quality improvement processes and promote environmental stewardship.
– Deliver engaging training sessions and workshops to empower employees with HSE knowledge and best practices.
– Maintain accurate reports, metrics, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
– Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that emphasizes teamwork, communication, and accountability.
In a candidate we are seeking someone experienced and capable with a CV that can demonstate the following skills:
– Proven experience in HSE management, including developing and implementing quality, health, safety, and environmental policies.
– Solid knowledge of quality standards, safety protocols, and environmental regulations.
– Hands-on experience with onsite leadership, inspections, and audits.
– Strong people skills, with the ability to lead, communicate effectively, and build rapport with diverse teams.
– Analytical mindset with a keen eye for detail and problem-solving skills.
