We’re looking for a highly experienced hydraulics professional to work with a leading engineering business with offices in key superyacht industry locations. 

With today’s yachts being larger and with more ambitious systems, hydraulics play a growing part in serviceable items on board. Installing and repairing systems on maritime craft from warships to superyachts, the brand have over 30 years’ experience in highly complex projects and, with a continued growth of projects, are needing to grow their team to cope with the increased demand at one of their key locations.

Reporting into the Operations Manager, the role of Hydraulics Engineer will see you carry out the following duties:

– Working with both internal team members and the shipyard client to understand workload requirements.

– Servicing of on board hydraulic systems in line with manufacturer guidelines and in keeping with class and flag requirements.

– Troubleshooting and repair of faulty hydraulic systems using a range of diagnostic methods.

– Warranty assessment, claim and refit as required.

– Specifying and installing upgraded systems during the refit process. 

– Creating and submitting service and condition reports for both internal and external stakeholders.

– Attending operational yachts to carry out immediate repair as required.

Our ideal candidate will currently be working a similar role within the maritime sector, ideally with superyachts, and be a capable and experienced Engineer who is competent to work alone without supervision as an excellent ambassador for the company. With a wide reaching experience on a host of hydraulic systems and brands, you’ll be able to offer excellent technical expertise and complete physical works to a high standard that will stand the test of time. 

With the role based in mainland Spain, we ideally seek someone already in the Spanish employment system, however as a minimum an EU passport is required. English language is also a must.
