The Opportunity:
As a Hydraulic Systems Engineer, you will work alongside the Lead Hydraulic Systems Engineer, playing a pivotal role in the design, validation, and testing of hydraulic systems for a diverse range of state-of-the-art projects. These projects span commercial, leisure, and shipping sectors, all united by the common goal of decarbonising the marine industry. You will be part of a small, dynamic team where your contributions will have a direct impact on project success.
Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with a small, dynamic team of engineers to develop systems for the commercial, leisure, and shipping sectors of the Marine Industry.

Design and specify hydraulic systems, from producing schematics to 3D modelling and creating manufacturing drawings of manifolds and other components.

Produce comprehensive documentation and calculations to support your designs.

Model hydraulic systems using Simcenter AMEsim for system validation.
-
Develop and rigorously test hydraulic systems.
-
Manage and select suppliers effectively.

Provide commissioning and technical support for vessels.
Your Profile:
Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled individual with:

Higher education in Fluid Power, Mechanical, Electrical, Control Systems, or a related field.

NFPC (or equivalent) Hydraulics Training is highly desirable (training can be provided for a suitable candidate).

A strong understanding of Industrial and Mobile hydraulic systems and components.
-
Understanding of Mechanical systems.

Experience with CAD design, with Siemens NX preferred.

Proven experience in the creation of hydraulic schematics.

Strong experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

The ability to work safely and effectively with hands-on tasks.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with keen attention to detail.

The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.

Strong communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to cross-functional team members.

Willingness to travel.

Experience with Simcenter AMEsim simulation software is an advantage.

Knowledge of the marine industry, classification societies, and electrical or PLC systems is desirable.

EPlan ECAD experience is desirable, and training can be provided as necessary.
