Lead Project Manager

Are you a dynamic senior-level Project Manager keen to work with a leading shipyard brand in Malta?

Due to continued growth, this exciting brand are going through a strong period of expansion and seek a talented individual to head up their project team in Malta. With capability to take vessels up to 300m across commercial, cruise and yacht, they need to bring in a seasoned leader to ensure the smooth running and completion of various projects.

Reporting into the shipyard CEO, this is a critical role for the organisation with the following duties:

– Working with the sales and planning teams to ensure an accurate, well planned and achievable project schedule for the year ahead.

– Assigning resources across various projects, ensuring the correct PM leading specific projects.

– Taking a high level of oversight on all PMs and projects within the yard at any one time.

– Ensuring that projects run on time and in budget and acting as a high level troubleshooter and negotiator should issues arise.

– Leading on further recruitment across project management and skilled trades internally. 

In our candidate, we seek someone who has spent much of their career working with vessels over 150m as a Project Manager, Superintendent or similar. You will have a strong technical understanding of new build and refit in yacht, cruise or commercial and be able to offer excellent leadership qualities and a dynamic mindset. English and Italian remain the most widely used languages so fluency in both would be preferred but not essential.
