An opportunity has arisen to join one of the worlds most respected marinas as their General Manager
Located in the heart of the Med region and boasting the capability to take on the worlds largest yachts, the marina has made a name for itself as one of the best, welcoming incredibly high profile yachts from across the fleet and attracting some of the most famous in fashion and cuisine to the streets at the waters edge.
The role of General Manager will see you take on one of the most senior roles in the organisation, taking full control of both the marinas and the on-site shipyard. In the role of GM, you will be expected to fulfil the following duties:
– Build, drive and execute a business wide strategy to continue to grow profitability across the facility
– Recruit, train and develop a world class marina team to offer the highest quality of service and to maintain the marina and facility to exceptional standards
– Manage the P&L for the facility, ensuring financial profitability.
– Attract new business through strong networking with captains, owners and operators as well as attending various international shows and events
– Provide an exceptional customer experience.
As you’d expect, to be considered for this role, it is expected that you will have spent a minimum of ten years managing and leading a marina and/or shipyard facility. Able to show a clear history of success, you’ll have the ambition and knowledge to continue evolving this classic facility as one of the best in the world. Educationally, a CMM qualification or equivalent is essential and an MBA would be an advantage but not essential
Due to the location of the facility, the sucessful candidate will need to either be an Italian native or a fluent Italian speaker as you’ll be working with locals and port authorities where English is not widely spoken.
The role itself will come with a highly attractive package, to include accommodation, vehicle and excellent monthly salary.
