This senior position involves providing comprehensive design, analysis, and technical assurance across a wide range of sophisticated marine and offshore assets. The successful candidate will play a critical role in project delivery, ensuring design integrity and compliance from concept through to detailed design stages.
Key Responsibilities
Naval Architecture Design Leadership: Lead and execute core Naval Architecture design and analysis tasks for marine vessels, floating offshore structures, and specialized equipment.
Performance Analysis: Conduct detailed analysis, including hydrostatics, stability assessments, resistance, and powering calculations, under various operating and loading conditions.
Compliance & Assurance: Ensure all designs strictly adhere to relevant Classification Society rules, international codes (e.g., IMO), and industry best practices.
Technical Reporting: Produce clear, concise, and professional technical reports and documentation suitable for client submission and regulatory approval.
Collaboration: Interface effectively with multidisciplinary engineering teams, clients, and third-party approval bodies.
Innovation & Problem Solving: Apply creative engineering solutions to complex technical challenges and support the development of in-house technical tools and standard
Essential Qualifications and Experience

A degree (or equivalent professional qualification) in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or Structural Engineering.

Significant, demonstrable professional experience focused on the design, analysis, and verification of marine or offshore structures.

Expert proficiency in Naval Architecture design methods and stability software.

Thorough working knowledge of industry codes (e.g., DNV, LR, ABS, API).

Strong presentation and written communication skills, capable of explaining complex technical concepts clearly.
