They offer a stimulating, inclusive work environment and encourage professionals to push the boundaries of technical innovation.
This key role involves leading and executing advanced analysis programs focused on assessing and optimizing vessel performance. The work is multidisciplinary, combining computational analysis (CFD/Potential Flow), data analysis, and practical physical experiments. You will be responsible for enhancing the hydrodynamic efficiency of both new concepts and existing operational vessels.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
Technical Program Leadership: Act as the technical lead for computational analysis scopes utilizing potential flow software and RANS CFD techniques.
Physical Testing: Lead or support teams during model tests, sea trials, and other on-site surveys, ensuring robust and accurate data acquisition.
System Development: Lead or contribute to the ongoing development of bespoke data acquisition (DAQ) systems for use in testing facilities, sea trials, and surveys.
Stakeholder Advice: Provide practical, actionable technical advice and guidance on hydrodynamic performance to internal design teams and external client stakeholders.
Project Management & Safety: Manage project teams and subcontractors, ensuring all work (office, site, vessel-based) is conducted safely, cost-effectively, and in accordance with statutory and industry best standards.
Reporting & Proposals: Prepare clear, comprehensive technical reports for diverse audiences and lead/contribute to technical proposals, defining scope, costing, and timescales.
