Pre-Preg Composite Technician

Are you a talented composites specialist with expertise in pre-preg carbon and a keen eye for detail?

SYR Shoreside Superyacht Recruitment are working in close partnership with a well known brand famed for supporting the global superyacht industry with a host of composite solutions. With offices across Europe and further afield, they are part of a wider global group and produce both their own products and offer refit and repair services to their client base. 

Due to continued growth they are now looking to employ a number of Composite Technicians (both at junior and mid-level) to join the team in Palma and continue to uphold their high standards of repair and service. 

Reporting into the Composites Leader, your role will include:

– Working with the Project Manager to ascertain scope of repair or refit works and on quotations.

– Taking the lead on projects that are either on-site in Majorca or at a European shipyard.

– Bringing together outside trades where required.

– Undertaking repairs of composite parts – grinding, laying up, curing, finishing.

– Signing off the finished project with the client. 

As an individual you’ll be well versed in composites, ideally in marine and with a strong understanding of pre-preg and carbon repair. You’ll be capable of leading and developing those more junior and also confident enough to deal directly with clients at times. You’ll be mostly based in Palma de Mallorca, however the role will involve travel across the Euro zone to complete client projects.
