Project Manager

An opportunity has arisen to join a leading refit brand operating in Malta as a project manager. 

With a history of high quality works in both the luxury and commercial sectors, this shipyard group have one of the largest yard facilities in Malta and the capability to dry dock the largest ships within their facility. Welcoming a huge range of different projects on site, they boast a wide range of expertise and a network of high level subcontractors capable of taking on anything from minor service work to major structural modfiications. 

Due to continued growth in the refit market of cruise vessels and commercial craft they are looking to appoint a project manager to the team, starting ASAP. 

Reporting into the project director, the role will come with the following duties:

– Working with the department head to ascertain and plan the refit schedule

– Manage multiple projects across the facility from a satellite perspective

– Take ownership of a host of deliverables – time, quality and cost

– Manage both internal and external resource across assigned roles

– Completion of project reporting and attending client/internal progress meetings

– Overseeing final handover to client

In a candidate we are seeking someone with a sound technical knowledge keen to work with a leading brand. Either an education in engineering or experience working in a shipyard will be required, along with further experience as a project manager. You’ll be well organised and a good people-person, able to communicate well with those around you to get the job done.
