We’re pleased to bring to market an exciting new role for a quality engineer with a leading composites manufacturer in the South.
Having grown from a small single facility to become a multi-site manufacturer who support a wide range of household names in aerospace, marine and automotive this organisation has enjoyed strong growth built on providing a highly precise service with excellent quality standards. Due to further recent growth, they now seek a Quality Engineer to join the team, with the opportunity to enter at a senior level and grow into a management role in the short term.
Reporting into the Quality Manager, this challenging role will include the following duties:
– Overall management, maintenance and improvement of the QMS (Quality Management System)
– Reviewing and suggesting improvement to engineering drawings
– Work to complete but also improve and implement and wide range of quality documents
– Product inspection and quality approval
– Release of products to customers
– Internal auditing of standards and finished product
– Creation of internal and external reports
– Identification of performance and quality challenges, troubleshooting and implementing change to improve
– Working in line with AS9100 requirements
In a candidate we’re seeking an accomplished quality professional with the capability to support a high paced composites manufacturing organisation. With a keen eye for quality you’ll be used to working with volume manufacturing and have the knowledge and understanding of the systems and processes used in such a facility (AS9100, APQP, Lean, 5s). A competent individual with the ability to lead on quality and to challenge internally and externally, you’ll be able to provide clear reporting of your findings and pinpoint the required changes and improvements to create greater output.
Further desirables will also include holding a role of AS9100 auditor, experience with CMM Laser trackers and experience in an engineering role.
