The position of Retail Charter Manager is a central role to the company’s charter department, working directly with the company’s Director, senior charter and marketing team and wider personnel to develop the company’s marketing, systems, sales and services with the objective to achieving increased retail charter deals and the improvement of charter activities. This role is an excellent opportunity to work and learn from experienced yachting professionals, working on elements of both retail and central agency charters, marketing and financial activities within the luxury yacht industry.
An overview of the main role responsibilities –
*Work directly with the Director and relevant Managers to oversee the company’s retail charter brokerage activities;
*Work with the Director and relevant Managers to oversee the charter department budget;
*Identify potential new company partnerships, agents, introducers and individuals who can bring retail customers to the company, working with the Director and relevant Managers to establish mutually beneficial introducer agreements;
*Responsible for the organisation of all retail charter files, contracts, certificates and documentation within One Drive folders, editing and uploading new documents to ensure information is always up to date;
*Assist Director when making applications for CA’s to be in yacht shows, securing marina space, yacht marketing and branding material, team members’ travel, passes and scheduling etc as required;
*Assist Director and charter management team with the liaison with CA yacht Owners, Representatives and Captains concerning marketing information as required; and
*Visit CA yachts along with relevant colleagues as required;
About You –
• Fluent English speaker – other languages are a bonus;
• Have a valid driving license and own car transportation;
• Experience in the yachting industry, either as crew, shoreside or both;
• Experience with the yacht charter market;
• Experience of working in a 24/7 working environment and has flexibility to attend work events out of office hours and ability to travel for short periods with suitable notice period;
• Experience with working with tight deadlines, short turnarounds for work and an exceptional level of detail.
This is a remote working position with travel, both internationally and to periodic internal company meetings.
Package provides a base salary of £35,000 + commission and benefits.
