SYR are looking for a highly experienced Electrical Engineer keen to work with a leading employer in the world of maritime decarbonisation. 

As an engineering consultancy with an incredible pedigree behind it, this organisation has grown steadily since launch to offer a broad range of highly innovate solutions that are aimed at improving maritime performance and reducing carbon emissions. With a number of their major projects making international news and catching the attention of some of the largest maritime employers, they have expanded to a team of close to 50, covering a wide range of disciplines. 

With one of their major projects now evolving and being adopted by more customers, they are developing a team to focus solely on this product and seek a highly experienced Electrical Engineer to join them and drive forwards improvement and evolutions of their systems for increased performance and reliability. 

A role that will be crucial to the continued development of this product, the role will include the following duties;

– Designing an implementing large electrical systems and installations.

– Building schematics and guidelines for shipyard clients to adhere to when installing these specific systems.

– Ensuring that all works are compliant and adhere to ATEX regulations.

– Leading others and integrating into wider project teams, using your electrical expertise to find positive solutions to engineering challenges.

Our ideal candidate will be batchelors or ideally masters educated in electrical engineering with a strong understanding of large marine electrical projects. You’ll understand the challenges that such projects will face and be able to design and specify systems that will fit within the ATEX framework along with meeting compliance requirements across both marine and electrical applications.
