We’re looking for an accomplished Senior or Lead Level Superyacht Designer (exterior and interior) to join a world-leading yacht design studio in The Netherlands.
With projects from 40m to well over 100m, the studio has enjoyed a successful history and continues to grow as a leader in what is a currently challenging market. With capability in interior and exterior design, the studio have curated some of the world’s finest superyacht designs to currently sail on the global fleet.
The role of Superyacht Design Lead & Project Manager will sit just below the board and be a highly important role within the organisation. Duties shall include:
– Taking a lead role in the design and creative process from client enquiry to final delivery, generating interior and exterior concepts, GAs and mood boards in partnership with the in-house design team.
– Creating sketches and exciting visuals for client presentation.
– Working closely with the client, their representatives and the allocated shipyard to create and execute stunning projects, managing the development and release of required documentation and ensuring that all works comply with the relevant regulations and classifications.
– Partnering closely with shipyards, suppliers, outfitters and more to create a seamless process from start to finish.
– Acting as a main point of contact for all stakeholders throughout the design and build process.
To be considered for this role you will be expected to be at the top of your game, having held a lead or senior role within an established yacht design studio for 8 or more years and with countless completed projects of over 60m under your belt. An accomplished communicator and leader, you will be confident in the leadership of colleagues internally whilst being equally capable in client communication and relationship management with a wide variety of stakeholders. Alongside your capability as a Designer of both interiors and exteriors, you will also have an incredible network of shipyards, interior suppliers and other key industry support to be able to engage with through each project.
