Yacht Accountant

SYR is delighted to be representing an international yacht management brand, who are looking to appoint a yacht accountant in its Fort Lauderdale office.

As part of the accounting and finance department, you’ll play an important role in the fiscal management of the managed fleet. Reporting to the Head of Accounting you’ll maintain financial records, prepare reports for key stakeholders and and handle the full cycle of accounting tasks for the organisation.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create journal entries
• Run all open invoices
• Override/Commission reports
• Reconcile credit cards & Bank accounts
• Process Payables
• Vendor Management: W-9’s & 1099’s
• Petty cash management & process petty cash checks
• Create Invoices as requested by management

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist with financial reporting & budgeting
• Assist with annual internal audit
• A/R Collections, as requested
• Attend all local boat shows, as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

• 3-5 years relevant experience required
• BA/BS in Accounting or Business required
• Experience with banking and credit card platforms
• Prior industry experience preferred
• NetSuite experience preferred
• Proficient in MS Office & Mac required

The salary bracket for this role is $55-60,000 + company benefits
