Yacht Manager

Client

An internationally renowned management and brokerage house with a superb fleet under management is seeking an established yacht manager to help grow its owner services. Can be based from either the Palm Beach or Miami offices.

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Yacht Manager to oversee the operations and management of the fleet. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of compliance regulations, exceptional crew recruitment skills, and a proven track record in budget management.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all regulations and standards related to yacht operations
• Recruit, train, and manage an efficient and skilled crew
• Develop and manage the fleet budget, including expenses, payroll, and maintenance costs
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the yacht, including scheduling, maintenance, and guest services
• Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and service providers to maintain the yacht’s quality and efficiency
• Uphold the highest standards of safety and security for all onboard personnel and guests

Qualifications

• Proven experience in yacht management, including compliance, crew recruitment, and budget management
• In-depth knowledge of maritime regulations and safety standards
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Exceptional organizational and time management abilities
• Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances
• Bachelor’s degree in maritime management, business administration, or a related field (preferred)

Day-to-day

• Conduct regular inspections and assessments of the yacht’s condition and performance
• Collaborate with the crew to ensure smooth and efficient operations, addressing any issues or concerns as they arise
• Review and update the yacht’s budget, regularly monitoring expenses and identifying areas for cost-savings
• Communicate with guests, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure a high level of service and satisfaction

 

Package

Salary band is 120,000 – 130,000 USD plus medical and benefits pacakge, 25 days annual leave
