We’re seeking an experienced Engineer to join a busy south coast shipyard as a Senior Project Engineer.

Working to build anything from a ferry to a superyacht, this busy yard is constantly growing in response to international demand. Having worked with various well known maritime brands, they have cemented their reputation for building high quality products. 

Due to expansion they’re seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join them, based on the Isle of Wight.

In the role of SPE you will be tasked with the following duties:

– End to end leadership of a range of complex build projects.

– Compliance oversight, ensuring works adhere to specific class, flag and coding requirements.

– Leadership of a team of Engineers and Naval Architects, ensuring that all drawings are exact and in keeping with the requirements of the project.

– Oversight of finance and quality control.

– Ongoing and regular client contact.

For this role, we are seeking a senior level Engineer with 7 or more years experience, keen to work in a busy yard and grow their career. You will be degree educated in naval architecture or a similar discipline, be working towards chartered status and be confident in taking on major projects in a lead position, working with multiple projects and stakeholders at any one time. Organised and confident, you will be able to work with various stakeholders throughout each project, contributing to its overall completion in line with a range of variables.

The role will see you based full time on the Isle of Wight, so you will need to be prepared either to commute on a daily basis or to relocate. 

On offer is a salary of £50-55,000 plus various benefits and continuous career growth potential.

    Draughtsman/CAD Engineer

    Are you looking for a new opportunity as a Draughtsperson/CAD Engineer in the marine sector?

    We’re supporting a busy Isle of Wight shipyard who are looking to appoint a CAD specialist to their team to work across a wide range of projects. With their existing project scope including superyachts, high speed ferries and offshore craft, the yard are fully booked into 2025 and needing to expand to cope with the continued demands of the market. 

    Based in the heart of the island, the role will see you support the naval architecture team in developing drawings in 3D (Rhino) and 2D (Autocad) to prepare them for production. Reporting into the Central Design and Engineering Manager, you will be a capable individual with an ability to develop CAD models in an efficient manner to a high standard.

      We’re seeking a talented Project Manager to join one of the leading yards on the south coast. 

      Famed for building a range of high profile projects that include superyachts, fast ferries and workboats, this busy yard are only going to get busier and as a result need to add to their projects team to cope with demand. 

      Reporting into the Head of Projects this key role will include the following duties:

      – Cross-department co-ordination of people, materials and finance across projects.

      – Time, quality and cost management.

      – Regular interaction between client, design and production to ensure project progress and deliverables being met.

      – Contract management.

      – Troubleshooting, reporting and conflict resolution.

      Our ideal candidate for this role will come from an engineering background and have worked as a Project Manager within a shipbuilding/boatbuilding environment before. You’ll be a strong communicator with the capability to lead teams, bring together various stakeholders and drive projects to a successful completion in line with agreed metrics.
