Mechanical/Electrical Fitters

Are you an experienced fitter, deck fitter or shipwright with an ability to turn your hand to any aspects of boat fitout? Or indeed do you work in the aerospace or automotive sector with a passion for the maritime world. 

SYR are supporting a well established and longstanding brand in Somerset who are looking to hire a number of fitters to their team, tasked with the full fitout of their range of performance craft. Building for anyone from a national police force to a superyacht owner, this busy yard has a solid and growing order book that now required extra manpower to fulfil. 

 

In the role of Fitter you will take on the following roles:

– Installation of mechanical and electrical systems such as navigation, windlasses and more

– Trimming and fitting of A-Frames

– Rigging and installation of outboard motors

– Fitting of composite and metal parts 

 

As an individual you will have worked in a role where you have gained the above skills or similar and be capable of completing your work to a quick and high quality standard. Working as part of a team you’ll be supporting various builds at any one time, ensuring a keen eye for detail throughout
