The SYR Guide to September Yacht Shows

It’s the first of September and that can only mean one thing… it’s boat show month!!!

We love getting out amongst our networks both here in the UK and abroad with much of the SYR team expected to be available to meet in person. So, we thought it a great idea to give you a taste of where we’ll be, which new launches we’re excited about and the dates we’ll be attending.

Cannes Yachting Festival (9-14 September)

Our first show will be Cannes Yachting Festival. Hosted across two idyllic locations in one of the jewels of the French Riviera, Cannes starts the autumn show season with a bang. With anything from paddle boards to superyachts, the show brings together two sites (one for sailing and one for power) and is often a hotbed for new launches.

We’ll be in attendance 9-11 September and will be catching up with a number of clients in the semi-custom space.

Our eyes will be drawn to some fantastic new releases such as the Sanlorenzo SX120, the first of the Silent Yachts SY80 models and the incredible McConaghy MC68 high performance sailing catamaran and we’ll be looking forward to catching up with some of our international shipyard customers from the likes of Gunboat, Y Yachts and more.

Southampton Boat Show (19-28 September)

Our local show and one that we’ve attended religiously is SIBS. A showcase of many of the UK’s best brands and countless international ones too, Southampton has always been a firm favourite for customers, offering them a chance to experience a broad range of craft ashore and on the busy marina.

Being a British company ourselves, we have a number of clients at SIBS, from RIB and tender builders through to some of the largest yachts sold here in the UK. Southampton also brings with it a great selection of social opportunities in and around the show run by the various associations.

All members of the team will attend the show across its duration with someone available 22-26 September, available to chat should you be looking to hire or be hired.

We’re excited to see craft from the likes of Williams Jet Tenders, Twisted Marine, the new & improved Fairline and many more!

Monaco Yacht Show (24-27 September)

Without a doubt the most outlandish and expensive yacht show in the calendar, Monaco Yacht Show returns once more to bring together the high end and luxury sectors in a celebration of decadence. Located in Port Hercule, the event includes some of the world’s largest yachts, some of the most ridiculous parties and the odd celebrity performance for good measure.

With the sustainability project ‘Blue Wake’ taking centre stage this year, yachting is under pressure to be cleaner. We’re excited to see the likes of ‘After You’ and ‘Maximus’ alongside browsing the selection of exciting new superyacht tenders and enjoying some of the informative talks and events during the 4 day show.

We’ll be in the Monaco area before the show, throughout its duration and afterwards.
