We are thrilled to announce that our Superyacht Supper Club is back!

There is just over a month to go before our next Superyacht Supper Club, kindly sponsored and hosted by our friends over at CMC Marine, and tickets are going fast. The event takes place on Wednesday 12th July, from 6pm, in Poole.

The Dorset location has meant that we’ve attracted a whole new selection of attendees from right across the South Coast and with CMC laying on some fantastic food and drinks at their new site it should be a great event.

Design & Engineering has remained incredibly busy the past month, with 15+ new roles across the UK and Europe from some great employers. It’s great to see the market for new roles so busy and alongside this, candidate interest is up too, with the highest month of new registrations in May.

The role would suit someone with experience in both the design office and on the shop floor who is seeking a leadership role in a brand working on some incredibly exciting projects.

It’s no secret that finding good people, particularly within skilled trades, is difficult for most companies across the superyacht sector. There is a lot of competition in a small market of trained and experienced people. Through the work we are doing at SYR, we are building up strong candidate pools for our customers across all areas of the industry.

There has been an increase in requests from outside of yacht production/boatbuilding in the UK recently, working on aftersales/warranty and servicing of the leisure marine market. In the EU, we continue the supply of skilled trades for various yachting brands enabling them to meet tight production deadlines. The industry as a whole seems to be doing very well and we are glad to be helping both our customers and candidates navigate the challenges of the hiring process.

Marine Engineer – Hampshire 
If you are a Marine Engineer, experienced in working with inboard and outboard engines, and are open to relocating for the right work/company – this could be the ideal position for you, if you would like to discuss this further please reach out to me.
